ExxonMobil donates € 24,000 to Support DAM!

Drive Against Malaria received a generous donation of € 24,000 from ExxonMobil Benelux to combat malaria. DAM is grateful because with this support so many lives can be saved.

This gift will provide life-saving medicines to the most isolated and poorest people, often living in inhospitable areas where no other organization is active. For thousands of African families that is a condition of life, literally the difference between life and death.

DAM can now count on the support of ExxonMobil Benelux for twelve years.

The impact of this support has been impressive in recent years!

Malaria prevails mainly in isolated areas, with a lack of infrastructure where people live with hardly any financial resources. Families where someone is infected with malaria need the right medicines to be able to heal completely. If there are none, wait until it is too late, or try home remedies that do not work. Without free medication, the presence of malaria will increase throughout the year for people living in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Providing the right medication for free in combination with the right treatment is very effective. But that is only possible through the donations from the loyal partners of DAM. This allows DAM to continue to provide the medicines free of charge, and that means that even the poorest residents are decreasing, but also that malaria is not spreading further .

Health is heading in the right direction

That means that the health of entire populations is heading in the right direction. Even during the rainy season, which usually causes many new infections. The provision of free medicines thus keeps the state of health at a hopeful level, and that is extremely positive, a huge upward trend. Thanks to improved health, this also leads to an enormous growth in prosperity and the quality of life.
