Malaria is a life-threatening infectious disease caused by the Protozoan Plasmodium Parasite. The disease affects 216,000,000 people each year and kills more than 450,000 people each year. Every 2 minutes a child younger than 5 years old dies from the dreaded disease. The heaviest form, Plasmodium Falciparum, mainly occurs in Africa and mainly affects young children.
