Malaria is a life-threatening disease and the biggest health problem in the world. The disease affects 216,000,000 people each year and kills more than 450,000 people each year! Every 2 minutes a child under 5 dies from the dreaded disease.

The most dangerous form of malaria - Plasmodium Falciparum - occurs primarily in Africa and primarily affects young children. This form has devastating consequences for the blood vessels, brain and all essential body organs of the patient. The symptoms are numerous; from fever, headache, joint pain, vomiting, convulsions, coma to death. 90% of all malaria deaths in the world occur in African countries. Malaria is the biggest health problem in the continent.
